Navigating Forward,
Together
In a year shaped by the constantly shifting waters of geopolitics and our industry, it
was a real pleasure to welcome so many of you to our AGM in Gothenburg. In fact,
it was a record-breaking year for attendance — a clear reflection of the value we
place on coming together. These moments of listening, sharing, and exchanging
perspectives remind us that mutuality is more than a model; it’s a mindset — and
our greatest strength. Thank you for your engagement, your ideas, and your
continued con昀椀dence in the Club.
This issue of Triton Magazine captures the momentum and emotion of that event.
From the opening address through to a speaker programme that was as moving
as it was thought-provoking, this year’s AGM struck a deep chord. Few in the room
were left untouched by the stories shared — stories that brought the wellbeing of
seafarers into sharp focus. Our speakers didn’t just inform; they reminded us why
we do what we do — and who we do it for.
Crew wellbeing is not a soft issue, but a core pillar of maritime safety. It is a
business risk, a strategic imperative — and most importantly, a human responsibility.
When we care for our crews, we protect the foundations of our industry. The panel
discussions that followed challenged us to confront this truth with urgency
and clarity.
Loss Prevention remains central to that mission. In this issue,
we spotlight innovations like the TELP Iceberg function —
because timely, accessible information is key to safety. We also
introduce a new family guide to accompany our children’s book,
reinforcing our belief that seafarers thrive when their families
do too.
Outside the sessions, the AGM was also a celebration of
connection. Whether at the Mutual Cup or over dinner, these
shared moments reminded us that trust is built not only
through policy, but through presence.
As always, Triton Magazine also looks beyond the horizon.
In this issue, we explore developments shaping the
industry — from the Flaminia and DALI cases to FuelEU
Maritime and sanctions due diligence. These insights are
here to inform, equip, and challenge us as we navigate an
increasingly complex landscape.
We also look to the future at the intersection of
sustainability and technology — from green fuels to AI in
collision analysis. Progress demands courage, creativity,
and to truly succeed, collaboration.
